Why You Should Skip Resolutions
Plus our most popular products of 2025
In this week’s Señora Edit, we’re skipping resolutions altogether, and taking a look back at what actually resonated. Inside, you’ll find our most-read stories and the products we loved most in 2025.
P.S. We were so excited to see the lovely Carmen over at Tomes & Textiles talk about our book! Grab it now at Barnes & Noble or Amazon or Bookshop.org and click through for the video.
Tecito Time 🍵
As we start the new year, we’ve been thinking less about adding and more about refining. Carrying into the año nuevo what felt supportive, letting go of what was rushed, and letting the next season unfold nicely (but we still walked around in a circle with our luggage on NYE)
No resolutions or reinventions; it’s more like a moment for figuring out what you actually love. Choosing what truly earns a place in our homes, our routines, and our attention. Keeping what makes you feel good, and chuck what doesn’t.
What We’re Taking With Us Into the New Year:
• Buying less, but choosing them more carefully (maybe even heading to a thrift store)
• Creating routines that support our energy instead of obsessing over productivity
• Letting our homes evolve slowly instead of all at once
• Returning to pieces that feel grounding, familiar, and cozy
A Simple Practice We’re Returning To:
At the start of each week, we’ve been asking one question before committing to plans, buys, or projects: Does this support the pace I want to live at right now?
It’s been a helpful filter, especially in a season that wants you to feel urgency.
Worth Reading This Week:
A few pieces that felt especially relevant right now.
Heading into the new year, a health editor with over a decade of experience breaks down the wellness trends expected to shape 2026, from movement and nervous system regulation to grounded, evidence-backed practices that feel realistic in everyday life. This offers a clear look at where calm, sustainable wellness is actually heading next.
This piece explores how more women are intentionally stepping away from burnout culture and reevaluating what success looks like. It highlights a growing desire for balance, boundaries, and a life that feels supportive instead of depleting - but that doesn’t abandon motivation and ambition.
As the year comes to a close, see which wellness trends genuinely supported people and which ones slipped into plain old weirdness. Honest and grounded, it serves as a useful filter before carrying habits forward into a new season.
